Patrick Ewing

About Me:

 I'm 17 years old. My name is Patrick Ewing.

I started martial arts when I was 7 with Isshinryu Karate. I had to stop after a couple years due to school. But I came back in November of 2009 when a friend of mine offered to teach me Mixed Martial Arts.

We ended up training with his father and trainer in their carport. It was only once a week for about a year, doing some competitions here and there. My trainer and role model, Daniel Dix, always emphasized the fundementals.

We eventually stopped training due to Daniel having to work more. I joined the wrestling team in 11th grade, making it to the regional level in what was known as the "Region of Doom" (mostly due to Springstead, Lake Gibson, and Oveido).

After the wrestling season, I joined up with Gator MMA/Team Assassin in New Port Richey, FL.

My belt and school information:
I do no-gi and have developed well considering my time in the art. Marcus said I was around a two-striped blue belt, so I'm going to put that as my "belt level" since no-gi isn't an option.

Gator MMA is affiliated with Luiz Palhares Gracie Jiu Jitsu so I will be putting their school down as my school (since Gator MMA isn't a recognized school).

I've been training for 1 year 11 months. It will be 2 years on November 20th, 2011
